Truman Capote, whose finesse in his books coupled with his larger than life personality inspired this Emcee, giving birth to Knovell Capote an entertainer, educator, performer, dreamer, poet, and above all a storyteller.
His story begins as a child listening to his mothers collection of assorted Blues, Rock, Funk, Soul and Disco vynal. By the age of six Knovell Capote had been playing piano for two years and showed a keen fondness to composing music and lyrics.
As a bi-racial child, Knovell dealt with bullying from both demographics and through sports and music found his sanctuary. However at 17, with a professional career in rugby the ultimate goal, Capote was hit by a speeding car, knocking him unconscience, and quite literally, almost killing him. That was the day that changed everything.
“Not being able to persue my rugby dream took an immense toll on me mentally. I was depressed. It was through music and my odd music class that helped me. I fell back in love with music again, it was the beginning”

His sound and lyrical ability is inspirational, his ability to engage you in his storytelling will make you emotional. Knovell Capote insists his pursuit for excellence in his chosen craft is not rested upon music greatness alone. His involvement in Youth Development within the Arts has seen him help youth off the streets and follow their goals within the arts.
“At the end of the day, I was given an education, sport and music. My parents worked hard , and still do, to pay off the fee’s it cost them to make sure myself and my brothers and sisters were given the best possible oppertunites. My craft has given me an output to help the lives of younger kids who want to pursue a goal within the arts”
Without resorting to vulgarity or a tired hip hop norm, Knovell Capote has earned a reputation as a dynamic lyricist but more importantly an educator. His diversity as a songwriter, be it with a political discourse , a classic RnB cut , or a head nodding hip hop song are constantly grounded in a modern reality.
Knovell Capote is what no-one can expect, the underdog story being told in the present: what everybody has to and wants to hear.
